The Penang Global Ethic Project Launch

“What do peoples of faith have to contribute to
the pressing issues of our time?”

In conjunction with the Penang Global Ethic Project, the Malaysian Interfaith Network invited a wide range of speakers from various religions to highlight ethical values reflected in world religions.

Dr. Fazlun Khalid, founder director of Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES), UK. Muslim advisor to World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Author of Qur’an, Creation and Conservation (IFEES, 1999).

Ven. Ji Xing, a former headmaster turn monk, is associated with The Buddhist Triple Wisdom Hall, Penang. Member of the Buddhist Association of the United States.

Tarsame Singh, Ph.D candidate at School of Humanities, USM; Chairman of Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia (Kedah Branch).

Dr. P. K. Das, chairman of Krishnan Temple, Penang Road and consultant pathologist at the Lam Wah Ee Hospital.

Don Theseira and Mylene Theseira conduct a successful church-based recycling program at the St. Anne’s Church in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, and has the support of the Seberang Prai Municipal Council.
